I became the solution to my problem.
I knew I needed a website. What I didn't know was I also needed copy (the words), branding, systems… all the things! I thought a logo was branding. Girl, was I wrong about that one.
I didn't have the money for a logo, a real one, not just one made in Canva or a custom website and copywriting, let alone branding. Every dollar went to bills. No cable, no nails, just essentials.
It used to really bother me hearing other professionals degrade a Canva logo. I started at zero, so I know… and I still cringe when I hear designers say things like that.
